First Aid Tips for Common Outdoor Injuries

We love the outdoors. But we’ve probably all experienced at least one adventure that has ended in a mishap. For some, it might have been a sprain or even a broken bone, but for others it might have been much worse.

As much as we’d like to head outdoors in the right frame of mind, it certainly doesn’t hurt to be aware and prepared for treating a range of things that might just go wrong.

So we caught up with our friends at St John Ambulance and got their expert advice on treating:

  • Broken bones

  • Unconscious but breathing casualty

  • Unconscious casualty who is not breathing

  • Heat exhaustion

  • Hypothermia

  • Frost bite

We hope you never have to put any of this into practice but if you do, at least you’ve learned from the specialists!
